The graduation ceremony for the Class of 2010 will be Friday, May 21, 2010, at 4:00p.m. at the Kennesaw State University Convocation Center.  With the need to have two schools use the facility on Friday night, the administration, graduation coordinators and senior advisors felt that it was in the best interest of our community to volunteer to move to the 4:00 p.m. time slot.  We then asked our PTSA executive board to survey some senior parents about the change.  There was tremendous support for this move since the traffic on the holiday weekend mandated that people leave East Cobb well before the ceremony.  This will also enable families to make dinner plans at an earlier time.  The major concern that was expressed regarded younger siblings that attend our feeder schools.  We contacted all the principals at our feeder elementary and middle schools who assured us that they would be willing to work with parents regarding our graduation. 

A complete packet of information will be posted on the Walton website on the senior page around March 15.  Included will be all information about tickets and how to request additional tickets above what is allotted for each senior participating in the ceremony.
